the world, Wasim Akram is known to be the face of cricket and a pioneer in the
reverse spin bowling. Highly respected by his contemporaries for an
impressive career, adorned by an ICC Cricket Hall of Fame and broken several records, Akram is
not without controversy. Charged with handling the ball and the match-fixing,
cricket champion has struggled to maintain his reputation. Born in
Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan to a middle class family, attended Akram Islamia
College, where he served as an opening bowler and batsman. Displaying enormous
talent and style in Test cricket, Akram attracted the attention of Pakistan All Terrain Kahn,
Imran. Kahn became a close friend and mentor of Akram in the Cricket World Cup
in Australia.
Throughout the fame of the 80's Akram grew and the world of cricket was forced to take note of the talent that Kahn is seen in the young bowler. However, in 1988, Akram suffered a pulled groin, the first of many injuries that hinder its development as an athlete and hinder his career. However, in the early 90's, Akram appeared on the scene and recovered with a faster, more deliberate swing bowling that made the world focus on it. In Cricket World Cup 1992, Akram new style of swing was fatal and Pakistan's National Team won the tournament. support and job satisfaction of diabetes as an advocate and spokesman for Accu
Chek. Akram, who was diagnosed with Type I diabetes in 1997, speaks openly about his illness and
is determined to use his fame to promote awareness and break the stereotype
that diabetes can be controlled. Akram, in an interview with a comprehensive welfare, said:
"I wanted to help people become aware of the disease and what is available
to deal with it. I took 250 wickets after being diagnosed with diabetes.
